Strictly Christmas

Kathy's Korner

August 18, 2016

You know the saying "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry," well mine have certainly gone awry because of that giant train called Destination: Dallas that is fast barreling down on Texas. There does not seem to be a free minute to be found so this will be a quick post.

I do want to report I have finished that arduous task of finding the perfect line dancers. Two young male college students will be there Saturday night at the Welcome Party to teach line dancing and just help us all have a Boot Scootin' good time. And of course Glen Bailey returns to entertain us with God Bless Texas and other favorite country and western songs. You will not want to miss it.

We all need to give Juli Poitras a great big THANK YOU for her find this week. She really got into the spirit of the hunt for the PERFECT cowboy, and I must say she definitely found him. I was shocked how much he looks like my drawing!!  See for yourself what you think.

Kathy's famous cowboy drawing.
Juli's "almost as good" cowboy.

Pretty amazing, huh?

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!

I think that's a 12 pack!! He is certainly easy on the eyes and quite handsome, but I think we will all agree he does not hold a candle to Juli's husband, Pete. And I hear Pete is quite a dancer, too.

So don't dare miss the Welcome Party Saturday or the banquet Sunday night.  And for newbies: our banquet does not have a speaker, just great food and lots of fun.  And, oh yeah, it is a market, after all. We have the most exhibitors and buyers we have ever had.

Y E E H A W !!!!!

I will post again on Thursday, September 1.

See you then,

Kathy
